Albany Tech’s Academic Achievement Center (AAC) offers specialized learning centers targeting Learning Support students in Reading, Mathematics, and English. Separate centers exist for each discipline staffed with highly qualified specialists. Learning Support students use the AAC to supplement their class activities by using a variety of hands-on and online methods. Supplemental Instruction (SI) provides academic support intervention that incorporates both instructor and peer assisted study sessions. The SI service targets both foundational courses, as well as other courses in which students may be experiencing difficulty. The Retention division of the AAC provides counseling and assistance helping students overcome barriers to academic success.
