May 6, 2011 - Albany Technical College will hold a local articulation signing for its agreement with Southern Polytechnic State University on Monday, May 9, 2011, at 12 Noon in the Albany Tech Presidential Board Room.

Originally signed in Atlanta on April 11, 2011, this agreement will allow Albany Tech students to complete their first two years of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology degree. With this agreement, students can earn their associate of applied science in Electromechanical Engineering Technology with Albany Technical College and go on to complete their bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology with Southern Polytechnic State University. Students can expect to take their Southern Polytechnic courses at Albany Tech and online. Then, go to work right here in Southwest Georgia.

“This opportunity with SPSU will keep our students who train in engineering technology fields in Southwest Georgia,” said Dr. Anthony Parker, President of Albany Technical College. “It’s a win-win situation for us and them and we look forward to the partnership.”
