Blackboard Information

The link for Blackboard is https://albanytech.blackboard.com. To help prepare for the online environment we encourage that you read, and save for reference, the Blackboard Student Quick Start Guide (COMING SOON) to Blackboard and its primary tools.

 

Login and Password

The username and password for Blackboard is:
School code_student id (Ex. 20_900123456)

The password for Blackboard will have to be reset. Once you put in your username, click on Forgot Your Password under the password box. This will send you an email to your ATC student email account and you will reset your password. This will be the password you will continue to use for Blackboard.

The school code for ATC is 20 and your student id is the number printed on your schedule. You will Not be able to use your social security number nor your date of birth.

For example, if your school is Albany Technical College and your student id is 900123456, your login would be 20_900123456 and your password will be changed through your student email account when you click on Forgot Your Password and fill out the requested information.

Please make note of your new password.



 

Step-by-Step Login Instructions

  1. Go the website. https://albanytech.blackboard.com
  2. Type your username.

    Identifying your username:

    New login and password: 20_STUDENTIDNUMBER (no spaces & also note there is an underscore separating the two digit college identifier and your student ID.) 20 is the Albany Tech two digit college extension.
  1. Press the Tab Key.
  2. Click on Forgot Your Password under the password area. Fill out the requested information and you will receive an email in your ATC student email account that will allow you to reset your password.

    Username: 20_studentID Example: 20_900123456
  1. Click the Login button.
  2. Your course(s) should appear under a section entitled “Courses”.
  3. You must complete the Student Orientation Course prior to the first day of class or the first day you are registered after the semester starts.

*Please make a note of what you change your password to.

It is very important that you Confirm Attendance for each online course prior or on the first day of class. 

 

 

TO CONFIRM ATTENDANCE

  1. After you have followed the steps above, click on each online course name.
  2. Click on the Start Here link on the menu of the left side.
  3. Click on Attendance Confirmation.
  4. After reading the statement, click the "Sign-Up" button below it to enroll in the confirmation group. Once complete, go to the Course Content area to begin your course work. 

 

 

Blackboard Learning link is https://albanytech.blackboard.com or you can access it from the Albany Tech home page by clicking on Online and click the Blackboard logo and follow the same steps.

Your current semester classes will not be available before the 1st day of classes. You always need to look for your online courses on the 1st day of the semester. All online courses begin the 1st day of classes so you need to try to login on the 1st or 2nd day of class for the semester. If you add a class during drop/add it may take up to 24 hours for the class to be added to Blackboard Learning.

Remember read information on the Blackboard website before you attempt to login on the first day of classes. Any changes to online course login information will be published on the homepage of the Blackboard website.  This information is subject to change without notice. Come back to this page at the beginning of every semester.
