High School to College



Financial Aid Instructions

Please follow these instructions when applying for a High School to College program presented here as these instructions are specific to these programs.

  • Go to: http://www.gacollege411.org
     
  • Click on “Your portfolio" (If you do not have an account click on “Create an Account”)
     
  • Click on High School
     
  • Enter your birth date
     
  • Click “find” and look for your high school’s name
     
  • Click on “Next”
     
  • Enter your information- be sure to enter your social security #
     
  • Click on Create an account (If you have an account, log in or if you have just created an account proceed from here.)
     
  • Click on the tab “Financial Aid Planning”
     
  • Click on “HOPE grant”
     
  • Click on “Apply On Line Now"
     
  • Click “Submit New application”
     
  • Click on the square after HOPE grant program
     
  • A box will come up-scroll to the bottom and click on the box that says “Apply for this program”
     
  • Click “Select”
     
  • Fill in your information 
     
  • When it says “State residency date” that is how long have you lived in GA. If you have lived in GA all your life you will enter your birth date.
     
  • Click on “continue”
     
  • Your will be asked for your parents information and then click “continue again “Scroll down to “Application Procedure” written in blue
     
  • Go to #2 electronic application “click here”
     
  • Choose Albany Technical College
     
  • Click “Submit”

    You will now get either an error page (at the top in red it will tell you what is missing) or you will be reviewing your information to make sure it is correct.
     
  • Choose Albany Technical College again
     
  • Click “Accept and Submit”
     
  • Enter your Account name and your pin# that you created for your portfolio and click enter

    Your should get a screen that says you have successfully applied and it will give you a #
     
  • Write down this number
     
  • Close out the website.
