Description Students receive training in various practical applications of law enforcement and in the processes of the court and corrections system. Instruction includes incident and report writing, crime scene investigation and processing, crisis intervention, patrol techniques, human relations and cultural diversity, preparation of court documents, court testimony techniques and the operations of the probation, parole and the prison systems.
Career Options Law enforcement officers in police and sheriff’s departments, corrections officers, probation and parole officers, juvenile justice workers, private security officers and private investigators.
Requirements Diploma program: 73 credit hours or less than 18 months for full-time students.
Associate degree program: 98 credit hours or 24 months for full-time students.
