Welding and Joining Technology

Students develop technical knowledge and skills in welding, metal fabrication and related occupations to include industrial maintenance. Students learn shielded metal ARC welding (Stick welding), gas metal arc welding (Mig), and gas tungsten ARC welding (Tig). They also learn to read blueprints and how to work with the latest welding equipment in our state-of-the-art lab.

Career Options
Graduates may qualify for several types of positions in industries such as machine manufacturing, industrial maintenance, construction, marine transportation and many others. Welders are hired in airline industrial civilian and defense work.

Diploma program: 73 credit hours or approximately 18 months for full-time students.
