Internship Memorandum of Agreement between Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany and Albany Technical College.

ALBANY, GA –A Memorandum of Agreement between Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) Albany and Albany Technical College (ATC) was established in February of this year to provide students with paid internship opportunities starting this spring and continuing through the fall 2021. The collaboration for paid internships provides qualified students with on-the-job training and credits in specified fields of study.

ALBANY, GA –Albany Technical College announces a new degree starting in the Fall Semester 2021, Addiction and Substance Abuse Counseling. The Addiction and Substance Abuse Counseling Degree at Albany Technical College will be the first of its kind in the State of Georgia under the Technical College System of Georgia’s 22 colleges.

ALBANY, GA – Albany Technical College and Southern Regional Technical College have appointed a new CDBG-DR Project Director.  Michelle Williams will assume the position on August 2, 2021.

EMT/Paramedicine Program Refresh

Albany, Georgia – Albany Technical College will have a presentation featuring the refresh of the EMT/Paramedicine Program, Wednesday, July 21, at 10 a. m. in the Charles B. Gillespie, M.D. Center for Emergency Responders (EMR) building, room 122.  Faculty, staff, employers and students will be on hand during the event which will highlight a donation agreement of up to $30,000 from Phoebe Putney Health System to help cover cost for basic EMT students going through the program at Albany Technical College. The event will also be live on Albany Technical College’s YouTube channel.

ATC Skills USA National Finalists

Albany, Georgia – The results are in, Albany Technical College is proud to announce Keondra Turner, dental assisting student at ATC, won the Bronze medal   in the 2021 SkillsUSA National Competition. Two other ATC students that were recognized in the top nine in their represented programs are LaDonna Milledge (Masonry) and Jasmine Kincheloe (Photography).
