ATC & ASU pathway for associate’s to bachelor’s degree in nursing

ALBANY, GA. – Albany Technical College (ATC) and Albany State University (ASU) are making it easier for nursing students to continue their education. The institutions will hold an articulation agreement signing ceremony on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at 3 p.m. in the Executive Board Room of the Logistics Education Center on the Albany Tech campus. The agreement establishes a pathway for nursing students who complete an associate of science (ASN) in nursing degree from ATC to be able to earn a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) degree from ASU.

Yancey Brothers Donates Equipment to Albany Technical College Diesel Technology Program Thursday

ALBANY, GA – Yancey Brothers will donate several pieces of equipment to Albany Technical College’s Diesel Equipment Technology program during a special presentation to the Albany Tech Foundation, Inc. on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at 10 a.m. in the Diesel program lab area in Freedom Hall.

Albany Technical College and Phoebe Health System to Hold Second CNA Employment Opportunity Event

Albany, GA- Albany Technical College and Phoebe Health System are building on their partnership to train and employ more Certified Nurse Aides (CNA). A second informational session for the CNA employee enrollment opportunity will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at the Albany Tech Logistics Education Center Auditorium. The information session will begin at 6 p.m. Starting at 5 p.m., candidates will be able to drop by an adjacent computer lab to begin the application and financial aid process.

Albany Technical College Pedestrian Bridge

ALBANY, GA – Albany Technical College will cut the ribbon to officially open the new pedestrian bridge adjoining the east and west side of South Slappey Boulevard on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at 10 a.m. on the grounds on the east side of South Slappey facing the Kirkland Administration Building.

ALBANY, GA– The Albany Tech Foundation was recently awarded a grant by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation in the amount of $14,640, to support adult literacy. This local grant award is part of more than $7.5 million in grants awarded to nearly 900 schools, non-profits and organizations across the 44 states that Dollar General serves.
