Albany Technical College and Phoebe Health System to Hold Second CNA Employment Opportunity Event

Albany, GA- Albany Technical College and Phoebe Health System are building on their partnership to train and employ more Certified Nurse Aides (CNA). A second informational session for the CNA employee enrollment opportunity will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at the Albany Tech Logistics Education Center Auditorium. The information session will begin at 6 p.m. Starting at 5 p.m., candidates will be able to drop by an adjacent computer lab to begin the application and financial aid process.

Albany Technical College Pedestrian Bridge

ALBANY, GA – Albany Technical College will cut the ribbon to officially open the new pedestrian bridge adjoining the east and west side of South Slappey Boulevard on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at 10 a.m. on the grounds on the east side of South Slappey facing the Kirkland Administration Building.

ALBANY, GA– The Albany Tech Foundation was recently awarded a grant by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation in the amount of $14,640, to support adult literacy. This local grant award is part of more than $7.5 million in grants awarded to nearly 900 schools, non-profits and organizations across the 44 states that Dollar General serves.

Kenneth Singleton ATC Law Enforcement Technology Chair Receives NISOD Award for Second Time

ALBANY, GA– Albany Technical College’s Law Enforcement Technology Chair, Kenneth Singleton, was recently honored as a 2017 National Institute of Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Award recipient at their Annual Awards Conference held May 27-30 in Austin, Texas. He was also the recipient of the NISOD Excellence Award in 2014.

Albany Technical College Holds First Work Ethics Special Recognition Ceremony

ALBANY, GA – Albany Technical College will hold a Work Ethics Special Recognition Program on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, beginning at 11 a.m. in the Logistics Education Center Auditorium. This is the first of what the college hopes to hold in honor of these students each semester of the academic year.
