Purpose of this blog page

Albany Technical College has started this page to keep everyone informed including faculty, staff, students and the general public. It is important to maintain awareness of what we are doing as a college and to facilitate a centralized place for factual information and communication.

March 26, 2020 COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) has changed the nature of collegiate instruction. During a time when skills taught at technical colleges are more valuable, we have temporarily modified normal operations. We don’t know when we will invite students back to campus.

All Albany Technical College locations, including the main campus in Albany, are closed indefinitely. Online instruction for students will continue. If you are a student, please continue to maintain contact with your instructor via email and/or telephone so that they can provide specific instructions on coursework.

Before the current enrollment interruption, Albany Technical College (ATC) offered 31 programs 100 percent online. All of our college’s programs currently deliver at least one course offered 100 percent online. However, not every technical college course can be easily converted to a 100 percent online format. Nevertheless, all our courses can be delivered in a web-enhanced format.

Statement to ATC Family:The health and safety of Albany Technical College’s students, faculty, and staff is always our first priority. Albany Technical College will close all locations starting Friday, March 20th at noon. Our spring break will begin March 23, 2020 and end March 27, 2020.  This will place us two weeks into our second seven-week spring term.  I’m hopeful that we will be able to restart or spring term on March 30 to finish the term.
