On July 1, 2011, changes in federal regulations impacted how financial aid can be used for classes taken more than once.  A repeated course is eligible for federal financial aid funds if it has never been completed with a grade of D- or higher (passed).  A course can be completed one additional time with financial aid after receiving a passing grade. All courses previously taken are compared against the current semester to determine if it is a repeated class and whether it can be paid for using financial aid. Listed below are examples of the regulation.  If you have any questions, please see your Financial Aid Counselor.
