65th Anniversary Proclamation

Albany Technical College officially kicked off its 65th Anniversary celebration with recognition from the Dougherty County Commission, which read and presented a formal proclamation honoring 65 years of service to education, workforce development, and the community.

We appreciate the County’s continued partnership and support as we reflect on our history and look ahead to the future of adult and technical education in Southwest Georgia.

The moment was made even more meaningful with the presence of ATC alumnus James Gibney, Dougherty County Emergency Medical Services Director and Paramedic, whose career reflects the impact of technical education in action.

Since 1961, Albany Technical College has been advancing opportunity, strengthening our workforce, and serving our region - and we are just getting started.
