As part of Albany Technical College’s 65th Anniversary celebration, college leadership met last Friday with Albany Mayor Bo Dorough for the formal reading and signing of a City of Albany proclamation recognizing 65 years of service to education, workforce development, and the Southwest Georgia community.
The proclamation recognizes Albany Technical College’s role in preparing students for high-demand careers, supporting local industries, and strengthening the regional economy since 1961.
We appreciate Mayor Dorough and the City Commissioners for their continued partnership and support as we reflect on our history and look ahead to the future of adult and technical education in our community.
