The upcoming first Annual Criminal Justice & Law Enforcement Summit 2024 is a significant event designed to foster positive relations between the police and the community. It is hosted by the Albany Technical College Police Department, along with other criminal justice agency affiliates, with an invitation for sponsorship to enhance the event experience and foster community engagement.

The conference is centered around the theme "Working to Maintain Trust and Keep Our Communities Safe" and aims to professionalize the community engagement sector of policing. This includes offering specialized training, networking, and professional development opportunities for both sworn and non-sworn personnel involved in community engagement roles within criminal justice and law enforcement agencies.
