Albany Technical College Appoints New Board Chairs for their Board of Directors and Albany Tech Foundation

ALBANY, GA - Albany Technical College is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Kenneth Dyer as the new Board of Directors Chair and Mr. Joey Magaddino as the Chair of the Albany Tech Foundation.

Kenneth Dyer, currently the Superintendent of the Dougherty County School System, has demonstrated a solid commitment to education and the community throughout his esteemed career. Dyer is an experienced leader with a proven track record in the education management industry. His proficiency in management, strategic planning, leadership, and team building makes him a superb choice to steer the Albany Technical College Board. As a long-time advocate for education, his appointment is expected to significantly strengthen the strategic direction of Albany Technical College.

Dyer is an alumnus of Albany State University, where he earned both a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) focused on Finance. His commitment to service extends beyond his professional roles, evidenced by his long-standing involvement in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and his dedication as a deacon at the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Albany.

Joey Magaddino, the Regional President and Chief Credit Officer at PeoplesSouth Bank, has been appointed the new Chair of the Albany Tech Foundation. Magaddino has built an impressive career in the financial industry and has been a staunch advocate for commercial banking and business growth in the Albany area. His leadership and financial insight will be instrumental in guiding the Foundation's activities and promoting Albany Tech's educational mission.

Magaddino is a University of Georgia - Terry College of Business graduate with a B.B.A. in Marketing. He further honed his skills in the financial sector at the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. His reputation for excellence is well-demonstrated in his roles across the financial industry, and he has made significant contributions as Regional President and Chief Credit Officer at PeoplesSouth Bank.

Joey Magaddino, the new Chair of the Albany Tech Foundation, stated, "I am excited to be stepping into the role of Chair for the Albany Tech Foundation.
