The Albany Tech Men's Basketball Program has undergone an exciting transformation with the arrival of Head Coach Rachard Lofton. Coach Lofton brings a wealth of experience from his successful tenure at Andrew College and South Georgia State College (SGSC). He led his team to the national tournament as a standout player in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) from 2009 to 2011. He later played a crucial role as an assistant coach in taking the team to nationals. His unique achievement of winning the GCAA as a player and a coach sets him apart.

Coach DJ Hardy from SGSC is Joining Coach Lofton, who was previously a student assistant during Coach Lofton's playing years. Together, they coached for three years, achieving remarkable success and winning the GCAA championship under Head Coach Cory Baldwin. Coach Hardy also played a pivotal role in another GCAA championship victory with Coach Baldwin. The coaching duo is further strengthened by the addition of Robert Stark, who comes from post-grad basketball in Tampa, Florida. He joined Albany Technical College last year and helped lead the team to the final four of the GCAA.

Since officially beginning their tenure on September 5th, 2023, Coach Hardy, Coach Stark, and Coach Lofton have made significant strides. Coach Lofton has brought in four talented players to complement the other players brought in by Coach Stark and a few returners from last year. With the combined expertise and dedication of the coaching staff and players, the Albany Tech Men's Basketball Program is poised for even greater success in the future.

The Titans have three remaining games as the regular season nears its end. The last conference home game will occur on March 9th against Southern Crescent Technical College. This game holds significant importance as it marks the conclusion of the regular season and allows the Titans to compete in front of their passionate home crowd.

Exciting times lie ahead for the Albany Tech Men's Basketball Program as they continue to excel both on and off the court. The coaching staff, players, and fans are united in their anticipation for the upcoming games and the program's bright future.
