• The program in Dental Assisting is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education. • The Health Information Technology has applied for accreditation from CAHIM: Commission on Accreditation for Health Information Management Education.

• The Albany Technical College Paramedicine diploma and degree programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)(www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP)(www.coaemsp.org)

Approval of EMT, AEMT, and PARAMEDIC courses is granted by the Georgia Department of Public Health/Office of EMS and Trauma and will be processed by the Regional EMS Program Official in the EMS Region in which the course will be taught. • The Pharmacy Technology program is accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists.

• The Practical Nursing Program is approved by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Practical Nurses.

• The Cosmetology Diploma Program is approved by the State Board of Cosmetology. Graduation from the cosmetology program prepares individuals for the Georgia State Board Master Cosmetology Examination for licensure.
