The Associate of Science in Nursing Program prepares program graduates to write the National Council Licensure Examination to become registered nurses. The program curriculum combines general education and nursing education. Consistent with the mission of Albany Technical College, program faculty support lifelong learning and workforce development through faculty efforts in continuing education and community service.

Step 1
Apply to the College
Complete the Albany Technical College online admissions application. (Admission fee may apply).
NO CORE? NO PROBLEM
You can still get started if you have not completed your core classes.
Step 2
Advising & GPA Review
Once you are admitted, an advisor will contact you to review your academic history and calculate your Nursing GPA.
Step 3
Take the TEAS Exam
Schedule and take the TEAS Exam (Test of Essential Academic Skills).
REQUIREMENTS
> Minimum score of 60 or higher
> Maximum of 2 attempts within a 12-month period
> 30 days required between attempts

Step 4
Apply to the ASN Program
Submit your ASN Nursing Program Application.
REQUIREMENTS
> Complete ASN application
> TEAS score meeting minimum requirement
> Nursing GPA of 2.75 or higher

IMPORTANT: If you have completed core classes, a preiliminary Nursing GPA calculation is required to determine your eligibility.
