Job Description & Responsibilities:

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Works with law enforcement to identify, isolate and secure crime scenes; Works with law enforcement to establish a restricted perimeter around a crime scene as to not compromise evidence; Works with law enforcement to define a clear set of restrictions regarding nonessential personnel and investigative personnel; Preserves, collects and records impressions, including toolmarks, footprints, tire marks, bite marks, and fingerprints; Collects DNA evidence, including blood, semen, hair, skin, blood stain patterns, bodily fluids, and nails; Collects trace evidence, including gunshot residue, fibers, accelerant, paint, glass, etc.; Collects firearms evidence, including weapons, spent casings, bullet fragments, cartridges, and gun powder patterns Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

One year certificate from college or technical school in Criminal Justice or Forensic Science; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary:

$48,152.00 Annually
