Job Description & Responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities: • Assists in supporting all aspects of the SEEDS for Success Helpline including intake, case assignment, and developing strong relationships with other DECAL divisions and partner agencies. • Supports families, partner agencies, and child care programs through the SEEDS for Success Helpline by: • Utilizing active listening and empathy skills to build rapport with families and providers and understand their concerns and needs; • Connecting families and providers’ with needed DECAL, statewide, and community resources, including but limited to training and coaching opportunities, information about child development, and referrals to other services for young children and their families; and • Ensuring appropriate follow up. • In collaboration with Practice and Support Services leadership, ensures the Helpline is efficient, effective, and user-friendly by maintaining and refining an efficient system for tracking, prioritizing, and responding to Helpline requests. • Assists in collecting specific data on Helpline requests and, in collaboration with Practice and Support Services leadership, uses these data to continually improve the Helpline’s quality • Participates in cross-divisional meetings to review new cases and develop action plans to ensure families and providers are connected with the appropriate resources and/or services, as well as follow up on the status of existing cases received through the Helpline • Collaborates with the SEEDS Program Regional Supervisors to ensure seamless and timely service delivery through the SEEDS Program • Develops, builds, and maintains positive working relationships with other DECAL divisions, including not limited to Pre-K, CAPS, Quality Rated, Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, and Nutrition • Maintains working knowledge of statewide and community resources for young children and their family, including early intervention, mental health, and education services
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: • High School diploma/GED and four (4) years of experience working in early childhood, early intervention, or public service; or Associate’s degree in education or business or a related field from an accredited college or university; or two • (2) years of experience required at the lower-level Education Program Spec 1 (EDP030) or position equivalent.

$44,998.81 - $59,143.37
