Job Description & Responsibilities:
Coordinate and execute daily domestic shipments across multiple transportation modes (LTL, TL, small package, air). Create, tender, and manage ad hoc and scheduled shipments with approved carriers. Enter shipment data into the Transportation Management System (OTM) with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Track, trace, and proactively monitor all in-transit shipments through OTM or direct carrier/vendor communication. Maintain and update transportation system records, ensuring shipment status, milestones, and documentation are current. Serve as a point of contact for shipment-related inquiries and provide timely resolutions to issues or exceptions. Confirm shipment details, pickup times, delivery appointments, and capacity with carriers. Review transportation lanes and shipment characteristics to select the most appropriate and cost-effective mode of transportation. Communicate daily with customers, sales teams, distribution centers, and cross-functional partners regarding shipment status, delays, and resolutions. Review and validate Bills of Lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation for accuracy and compliance. Support freight audit and documentation processes as required. Assist other transportation department team members as needed to meet operational goals. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. 1 year of logistics, transportation, or operations experience preferred. Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office applications; experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), such as OTM, preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced setting. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Ability to work flexible schedules, including irregular hours, weekends, and overtime as required. Professional demeanor with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
