Job Description & Responsibilities:

The Administrative Assistant, under general supervision, performs a wide range of clerical, support, and administrative duties of a responsible and confidential nature that support the Director and all department management positions. The Administrative Assistant performs administrative duties that support the effective operation of the office and department, including budget tracking, processing information, participating in key departmental administrative projects, screening inquiries and requests, making meeting and travel arrangements coordinating schedules, etc. Acts as a liaison between employees and managers, and other departments. Provides administrative duties to support the effective operation of the office and department. Attention to detail, along with excellent organization, verbal, and written communication skills. Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills. Able to multi-task, work under pressure, with changing priorities and deadlines. Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, patient database, internet, e-mail and voicemail). Ability to successfully manage time-sensitive projects and deliverables. Strong work ethic, upbeat personality with a can-do attitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and reliable with patience and professionalism. Must be organized, detail oriented, with good computer skills and organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Additional Duties: Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines. Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization. Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures. Maintains current Knowledge in present areas of responsibility to include any specialty certification requirements (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs). Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma (Required). Associate's degree in business or 1-2 years of post-high school education, preferably focused on business science (Preferred). Work Experience: 3 or more years' experience in administrative support position of increasing responsibility. 1 or more years of experience in a hospital or managed care setting.
