Job Description & Responsibilities:

Serves as the Clinical Program Manager for the Substance Abuse Counseling Center (SACC), Marine and Family Programs, Marine Corps Community Services and works under the overall supervision of the Behavioral Health Branch Head. Assesses SACC program operations and monitors progress towards program goals. Identifies problems, determines accuracy and relevance of information and uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives. Develops and provides professional improvement/quality assurance by implementing or maintaining performance improvement and quality assurance processes including maintaining program accreditation. Screens, assesses and refers complex cases to medical care/inpatient treatment as appropriate. May work a fluctuating work schedule to complete work assignments outside of the typical work week and work hours (to include weekends as necessary). Due to the nature of work in this position, the incumbent may serve in an "on call" duty status outside of normal work hours that includes: remaining in a reasonable call back radius, carrying a cell phone or pager, or regularly checking email to respond to emergencies; remaining in a state of readiness to perform work with limitations on pursuing outside leisure activities, and/or reporting to a designated post of duty to be ready to or to perform work. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must possess a master's degree in social work or psychology; or in a related behavioral health field (marriage and family therapy, counseling) from an accredited program. Must be licensed at the independent practitioner level. Must have a minimum of four years post-license professional experience with at least one year of experience as a supervisor of professional clinical providers with an emphasis in substance abuse/addiction services or with co-occurring disorders. Certified substance abuse counselor (Alcohol and Drug Counselor II, International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium substance abuse counselor certification, or state equivalent) required. Expert knowledge of substance misuse issues within the Marine Corps and related program policies, procedures, and regulations to serve as an installation subject matter expert is highly preferred. Skill to plan, organize, and direct both internal and interdisciplinary clinical team meetings and to communicate effectively with management and command toward understanding and utilization of SACC services.

Salary:

$39.69 per hour
