Job Description & Responsibilities:
The Facilities Assistant Manager supports the Facilities Manager in overseeing the facility’s daily preventative/corrective maintenance while prioritizing a safe work environment. They ensure the proper operation of all company-owned assets such as material handling equipment, automated conveyors, packaging equipment, HVAC units, lighting & electrical systems, plumbing and general maintenance of shared office areas, including any capital improvements. The Facilities Assistant Manager maintains an understanding of operational protocols, aiming to enhance the efficiency of the DC and help the Facilities Manager problem-solve challenges presented by employees and members of the leadership team. They also help oversee the general cleanliness and sanitation of the facility via a custodial team. We only accept W-2 candidates, H-1B sponsorship is not available. Qualifications Experience Experience Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence. Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations. Ability to work off-shift as required to respond to urgent needs. Education This role does not require a degree. Desired Traits & Skills Knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair, including HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, etc.; including use of power tools, reading schematics, blueprints, and instructions.
