Job Description & Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, basic general technical tasks on: electrical systems, fire safety systems, HVAC systems, mechanical and plumbing systems, and architectural systems. Architectural systems may include but are not limited to interior and exterior doors (including fire and some doors), ceiling systems, and wall systems. General tasks may include trouble-shooting minor issues on the pneumatic tube system, patient beds, nurse call systems, and televisions. General tasks also include shop cleanup and other general maintenance and upkeep. Works with a team and takes initiative. Helps maintain departmental compliance with governmental standards with documentation and with computerized maintenance management systems. Maintains a clean, neat and safe work environment. GENERAL SKILLS: Prefer the ability to read blueprints, basic schematic, and basic wiring diagrams; or require the ability to learn and assimilate this skill quickly Must have the demonstrated ability to work with various tools and equipment. Basic Computer Skills Mechanical, Follow Verbal Instructions, Read / Comprehend Written Instructions, Mathematical, Customer Relations, Interpersonal Skills, Communication Skills.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED (Required). Vocational Technical Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Maintenance (Preferred). EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 0 - 1-year Electrical repair, HVAC, and/or Mechanical maintenance, installation or contracting (Required). 1 - 2 years Healthcare or hospital facility maintenance setting (Preferred). CERTIFICATION AND LICENSES: No Certifications are Required or Preferred.
