Job Description & Responsibilities:

Essential Tasks • Provides overall administrative support. • Provides exceptional customer service to all the internal and external customers to the department. • Manages all online recruitment systems, assists applicants with completion of applications, completes relative reporting requirements, processes applications, and provides other staffing/administrative support functions to department staff. • Writes vacancy announcements: ensures proper distribution of vacancy announcements and professional advertising to include the internet and professional publications to promote employment for Dougherty County. • Communicates with employees, supervisors, department heads, the general public, retirees and elected & appointed officials to provide information, assistance and guidance. • Maintains, composes, types and processes a variety of correspondences, reports, forms, purchase orders, check requests, and other documents. • Prepares, develops, updates, scans, processes, files and maintains computerized and hard copy employee records, files, forms, reference publications and official documents; locates, retrieves, photocopies, routes, and monitors personnel, termination, inactive, hearing, and other related files. • Responds to inquiries concerning job announcements, verification of employment, insurance benefits, wages, or other data as requested; provides or verifies oral/written information as appropriate. • Receives various forms, correspondences, invoices, manuals, policies, procedures, or other documents; reviews, completes, processes, retains, and uses document management as necessary. • Attends workshops, job fairs and training sessions. Maintains awareness of applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Provides staff and employee training in areas of responsibility. • Responsible for front desk duties in absence of the HR Clerk. • Maintains confidentiality and professional integrity involving departmental issues.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, vocational/technical degree or related major. • Two (2) years of human resources or closely related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. APPLICANTS MUST PASS A 45 WPM TYPING TEST BEFORE APPLICATION DEADLINE. An email providing a link to access the test will be sent to the applicant’s personal email address. The link will expire within two (2) hours of applicant’s receiving the email. Physical Demands: Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement. • Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations. Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment): Unavoidable hazards refer to the job conditions that may lead to injury or health hazards even though precautions have been taken.

Salary:

$41,148.00 Annually
