Job Description & Responsibilities:
The City of Albany and the Department of Community Care (DCC) is excited to announce the expansion of its restorative justice work, aimed at fostering self-sufficiency and reducing recidivism among individuals with Municipal Court cases, reducing homelessness, and addressing Veterans Affairs. DCC is seeking passionate student researchers and programmatic interns to join us in our mission to support those affected by systemic life challenges and those who have a heart for servant leadership, to help to promote transformative self-sufficiency for those we serve.
Qualifications
Interns will take on a variety of responsibilities based on their specific assignment, including accounting, analyzing data, research, grant management support, producing consistent social media content—such as graphics, videos, and written posts—that resonate with our target audience. Administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, managing email correspondence, and organizing files, will also be part of their role. Furthermore, they will assist in performing assessments, data entry, outreach efforts, analyze engagement metrics to refine our strategies, and collaborate closely with team members to ensure all digital communications are aligned with the values and objectives of DCC. By embracing these diverse responsibilities, interns will play a crucial role in amplifying our impact within the community while gaining invaluable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ● Creative Collaboration: Work closely with team members to brainstorm and implement new ideas and outreach initiatives. ● Administrative Support: Aid in administrative duties, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and managing communications as needed. ● Analytics Monitoring: Regularly track and report on programmatic metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and suggest improvements. ● Professional Development: Show a commitment to learning and growing within the role, seeking feedback, and adapting to new challenges. ● Produce HMIS-related and partner-reported performance dashboards and quality checks for DCC programs. ● Standardize reporting (templates, definitions, QA) and maintain a reporting calendar. ● Map and improve workflows to increase referral completion and reduce time to service connection. ● Track outcomes for homelessness response, Veterans connections, and restorative justice coordination (aggregate, compliance-aligned).
