Job Description & Responsibilities:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Must be proficient in the use of Therap. Reviews the eMAR daily for complete accuracy and signatures. Reviews prescribed medical parameters such as bowel tracking, seizure logs, skin integrity checks, and blood pressure monitoring daily for complete accuracy and signatures. Reports medication changes to appropriate staff including nurses, case managers, and DSPs. Review, update, and corresponds to pharmacy messages to maintain open lines of communication. Coordinate, review, modify and or approve the MAR for individuals in the agency's Electronic Health Record (Therap). Record and review all physician orders and notify appropriate managers of any changes. Assists in collecting data and required documents and signatures as needed. Follows up on corrections, maintains and submits correction list. Reports ongoing issues and provides Directors with the correction list weekly. Files medical information as needed in the individual's chart and monitors for completion and accuracy. Demonstrates expertise in all DBHDD Medically Related Policies and Procedures. Has a working relationship with pharmacies, physicians' offices, and medical supply companies. Interacts and communicates effectively with the Residential Department. Provides detailed verbal and written reports on assigned functions at all residential, departmental, and managerial meetings. Completes all staff training as well as other identified training. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: Required: High school diploma or GED. Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN preferred or a minimum of 3 years of clinical/medical office experience. Experience with individuals with DD and/or MH. Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records.
