Job Description & Responsibilities:
WALB News 10 in Albany, GA, is looking for a Multi-Media Journalist to join our award-winning team. We are looking for a PASSIONATE journalist with energy, personality, and the ability to find and tell community-driven stories. Candidates must have prior experience covering news events in person, gathering news by phone, making contacts, and developing sources. MMJs are required to pitch stories every day, cover their own "beats", write web scripts, and engage on social media in our Digital First newsroom. You write stories for broadcast, shoot and edit video, conduct field interviews, and do live news reporting. You will be trained on multiple newsroom systems. We are looking for someone who is curious, who loves news - a journalist at heart!
Qualifications:
College degree in broadcasting or equivalent.
