Job Description & Responsibilities:
Answers the telephone and takes messages or directs caller to the appropriate staff personnel. Collects urine samples using specimen laboratory toilet. Performs fingerstick as appropriate. Performs venipuncture for collection of specimens as appropriate. Maintains a sanitary specimen collection area. Maintains patient logs as necessary. Maintains supplies for the phlebotomist area. Assists with other duties as assigned. RESPONSIBILITIES: Understanding of medical and health center operation and records. Establishes and maintains effective relations with employees and public. Represents AAPHC to the public in a good and positive manner. Understands the importance of good patient relations and common courtesy. Understands the importance of quality control and sanitation for patient care and employee safe-ty.
Qualifications:
High school education. Training in or experience in phlebotomy skills.
