Technical Assistance Coordinator (Early Childhood)

Job Description & Responsibilities:

Provide onsite and virtual classroom quality technical assistance and support to Child Care Centers, Family Child Care Learning Homes, and School Age Programs participating in Georgia's Quality Rated system to support program efforts in earning a rating in the 48-county southwest region. Provide onsite and virtual continuous quality improvement (CQI) classroom technical assistance to already rated childcare programs working to increase quality to earn a higher rating. Technical assistance includes but is not limited to on-site coaching, modeling and mentoring, telephone and email consultation, developmentally appropriate equipment recommendations, on-site professional development specific to program need, referrals to outside agencies for additional supports; CAPS, CACFP, Council for Professional Recognition, DECAL Scholars, Care Solutions, Georgia Technical Colleges, universities, etc. Conduct formal quality classroom assessments, develop and implement plan of improvements, and maintain necessary documentation for caseload management for up to 50 programs in any cohort. Complete all required reports, site visit documentation forms, etc. in compliance with regional and state guidelines. Provide mini grants to eligible childcare programs participating in Quality Rated. Ensure adherence to CCR&R approved mini-grant guidelines and spending process and maintain appropriate documentation via CCR&R standards for fiscal reporting. Ensure materials and equipment are appropriately placed in classrooms and provide adequate T/TA for utilization. Provide regional professional development training opportunities for ECE professionals in accordance with DECAL state guidelines for the Georgia Professional Development System and ECE best practices. Upon completion of PLC certification, will facilitate PLC groups in conjunction with region and statewide efforts. Present at regional and national ECE and leadership conferences when appropriate. Support regional workforce development by providing career counseling to early learning professionals interested in higher education, DECAL scholars, HOPE, CDA, TCC, etc. Promote CCR&R services through recruitment efforts related to Quality Rated participation and technical assistance and professional development support. In coordination with program leadership, engage with community partners in the SW region by participating in meetings and facilitating partner events. Participate monthly in regional TA hub meetings. Participate in staff professional development opportunities as determined and documented on an annual individualized staff professional development plan. Participate in DECAL and Albany State University meeting, when appropriate. Collaborate with CCR&R Training Director and Professional Development & Social Media Coordinator to determine regional needs for designing and delivering workshops and to ensure professional development is relevant and needed by programs. Collaborate with CCR&R Systems & Data Management Coordinator to ensure regional needs are met for data collection and systems maintenance. Work directly with Executive Director and/or Operations Director to complete projects or activities assigned by DECAL or the administrative home as needed to ensure efficient and effective operation of the CCR&R. Perform other duties as assigned by your Manager.

Salary:

$38,385 to $57,113.08
