Marketing

The QEP Marketing Sub-Committee is responsible for the marketing, social media, and PR components of the QEP including faculty, staff, students, stakeholders, Board of trustees, and community. This committee determines how to promote the QEP to the campus community, alumni, and the wider community.

  • Develop a plan to create awareness of the QEP for all campus constituents
  • Coordinate with relevant campus offices, organizations, or individuals to organize aware events or campaigns
  • Build brand identification for the selected QEP topic

Website Design

The QEP Website Sub-Committee would be responsible for designing and updating the QEP website. The committee would work with the other committee chairs to post what information they think the attendees will need. Additional responsibilities include:

Assessment, Student Learning Outcomes & Data

The QEP Assessment & Data Sub-Committee is comprised of faculty and staff from a variety of different disciplines and areas of expertise. They are responsible for assisting the faculty with the development of the assessment tools, benchmarks, and student learning outcomes of the QEP. This committee is responsible for outlining the student learning outcomes of the first-year seminar and determining how those outcomes will be assessed. They also assist with planning the assessment mechanism for reporting learning opportunities data each year, as well as the Annual Year-End Review and SACSCOC QEP Impact Report. Specifically, the sub-committee is charged with the following responsibilities.

  • Review all data concerning the QEP including learning assessment data.
  • Direct the assessment of the implementation plan
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a culture of assessment around the QEP topic, Enhancing College Readiness and Student Success: First-Year Experience
  • Motivate faculty and staff in all steps of the assessment process
  • Collaborate with ATC’s Assessment Committee,
  • Develop an assessment plan to effectively assess student learning in the curricular elements of the QEP to include:
  • Development of measurable student learning outcomes
  • Appropriate measures and performance targets
  • Development of an assessment process
  • A plan for disseminating assessment results to promote continuous improvement.

Course Redesign

The QEP Course Redesign Sub-Committee is responsible for redesigning the College Success course along with faculty to ensure that it is addressing TCSG competencies as well as the QEP goals. The committee will offer suggestions and/or recommendations on making the 1st year experience for all students enjoyable and an easy transition to the course mater shell builder. Additional responsibilities include:

Professional Development

The QEP Professional Development Sub-Committee is responsible for the faculty to have an opportunity to improve their skills and encourage professional development among themselves. The sub-committee should also ensure that the faculty understands and is knowledgeable of the QEP topic and what it has to offer to the students. In addition to the following:

Literature Review

The QEP Literature Review Sub-Committee is responsible for researching and compiling the appropriate sources available to locate a QEP Lead Evaluator.

Editing

The QEP Editing Sub-Committee is responsible for detecting and correcting errors in written documents concerning the QEP. Additional responsibilities include:

Entails checking written text for misspellings and inaccuracies prior to publishing.

  • Detect and highlight the typographical or grammatical errors.
  • Check typeset documents to ensure the publisher used the font style, size, and text spacing specified on the original copy by a page designer.
  • Check images, tables, and charts contained in a document to ensure they are precise and properly aligned.

Budget

The QEP Budget Sub-Committee is responsible for working in conjunction with the QEP Director and team to establish a budget for the QEP team in order to implement the needs of the team and committees to perform their tasks successfully.

  • Develop estimation for the financial, physical, and human resources necessary for developing, implementing, and sustaining the QEP; including existing resources
  • Record minutes of all meetings and file with QEP Director
  • Provide monthly updates to the QEP Team
